Navicent Health
Just after my freshman year at Georgia College, I was offered an internship with the non-proft medical center, Navicent Health in Macon. This was my very first internship, and one that I will not soon forget. The opportunity allowed me to develop skills in social media usage, photography, videography, writing, and communication techniques. My responsibilities included writing and editing press releases (as seen below), escorting news media personnel throughout the hospital, and, my personal favorite, creating short videos highlighting patients’ “good news” stories relating to their time at Navicent and their recovery.
